It’s Me ~ GracieBelle!
My name is GracieBelle. Here is my story:
I am just one year old. I was dumped at a Texas shelter around September 21, 2106. I had just weaned a litter of puppies and still had milk. I had a huge mass on my right leg that really, really hurt me a lot. And I’m also light heartworm positive. Some nice people from TSR LA Baby Mommas in Shreveport came to get me. Then I was taken to North Airline Hospital where two nice doctors did surgery to remove the infected mass on September 28. They said the mass was very infected. They removed the infected mass along with two of my toes! Then they started me on antibiotics and pain meds. The doctors were hoping this would be the end of it all, but when the lab reports came back, they were not good. Cancer. Hmmm. I don’t know what that is, but it didn’t sound good. They said the cancer was very aggressive and was in my lower leg only. I had to go back to the doctors on October 4 to have my right leg amputated. I wasn’t scared. I knew the doctors were going to take real good care of me and make me feel better again. Â
After I recovered from my surgery, I was up and about in no time. My foster mom took great care of me.
Tomorrow, I go to my forever home in Zwolle with my new family. I am so excited!! I know my new people love pupsters very much. And I will have two new sisters and a new brother!!
There will be updates soon, but now I have to go to sleep and get ready for my big day tomorrow!
